Trial Period

When you register for Configly, you automatically start a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to begin.

During the trial you can:

  • Connect up to two Zendesk instances
  • Run configuration syncs and view snapshots
  • Use core features including diff, dependency mapping, what-if simulation, and search

A trial banner appears at the top of every page showing how many days remain. When your trial expires, your account enters read-only mode — see Feature Gating for details.

Accessing the Billing Page

  1. Click your account name or avatar in the top-right corner
  2. Select Settings
  3. Click Billing in the left sidebar

The billing page shows your current plan, subscription status, next renewal date, and payment method.

Upgrading to a Paid Plan

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Upgrade (or Choose a plan if you are on a trial)
  3. Select the plan that suits you — Solo Admin, Multi-Instance, or Agency Toolkit
  4. You are taken to a secure Stripe-hosted checkout page
  5. Enter your payment details and confirm
  6. On success, you are redirected back to Configly with your plan activated immediately

Stripe checkout

Configly uses Stripe for all payment processing. Your card details are never stored on Configly's servers.

After a successful upgrade you will receive a confirmation email from [email protected].

Changing Plans

To switch between paid plans:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Change plan
  3. Select the new plan and confirm in the Stripe portal

Plan changes take effect immediately. Proration is handled automatically by Stripe.

Payment Failure Handling

If a scheduled payment fails (for example, because your card expired), Configly will:

  1. Notify you by email — a payment failure email is sent to the account owner at [email protected]
  2. Display a warning banner — a persistent yellow banner appears across the top of the app
  3. Retry automatically — Stripe retries the charge on a schedule (typically 3–4 attempts over approximately two weeks)

During the retry period your account remains fully functional. If all retries fail and the subscription lapses, the account enters read-only (suspended) mode.

To resolve a payment failure:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Update payment method
  3. Enter your new card details in the Stripe portal
  4. Stripe will attempt to collect the outstanding balance immediately

Cancellation

How to Cancel

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Cancel subscription
  3. Confirm on the cancellation page

You keep full access until the end of your current billing period. When that period ends, your data is immediately and permanently deleted.

What Happens After Cancellation

Timeline What happens
Cancellation confirmed Status changes to Cancelling — access continues until period end
Billing period ends All snapshots, connections, and configuration data are permanently deleted

Data deletion is immediate

When your billing period ends after cancellation, all your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. There is no grace period. Export or download anything you need before your billing period ends.

A cancellation confirmation email is sent when you cancel.

Reactivating Before Period End

If your subscription is scheduled to cancel but the billing period has not yet ended, you can reactivate:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Reactivate subscription
  3. Confirm your payment method

Your account is restored immediately and the cancellation is reversed.

Beta Conversion

If you registered during the Configly beta period, your account was migrated to the standard trial and subscription system as part of the v0.10.0 release. You will have received an email explaining your new trial end date and instructions for upgrading to a paid plan.

If you were part of the Configly beta programme, check your email for details of your exclusive early bird discount.

If you did not receive this email, or have questions about your beta account status, contact [email protected].
