Account Settings¶
What Are Account Settings?¶
Account Settings are the top-level configuration for your entire Zendesk instance. They include settings like ticket sharing, active features, authentication preferences, branding defaults, and other account-wide options.
What Configly Captures¶
Configly syncs your account settings as a single structured object. This is displayed in a settings viewer (not a list view) showing key-value pairs grouped by section -- similar to how Zendesk Admin Centre organises these settings.
Read-only
Account Settings are read-only in Configly. They are synced for visibility and snapshot comparison only. What-If editing is not available for this type.

Why Account Settings Matter¶
Tracking account settings in snapshots lets you:
- Detect unexpected changes -- see when someone toggled a global setting (e.g., disabled ticket sharing or changed authentication requirements)
- Compare environments -- diff account settings between production and sandbox instances
- Audit compliance -- verify that security and privacy settings match your organisation's policies
