Articles¶
What Are Articles?¶
Articles are the knowledge base content in your Zendesk Guide help centre. They provide self-service answers to common questions and are organised into sections and categories.
What Configly Captures¶
Configly syncs article metadata only -- not the full article body HTML. For each article:
- Title
- Section and category -- where the article sits in the help centre hierarchy
- Status -- draft or published
- Last updated -- when the article was most recently modified
- Author
- Has attachments -- whether the article includes file attachments
- Permissions -- which user segments can view the article
Metadata only
Configly is not a help centre editor. Article body content is not synced. The metadata is useful for auditing stale content, finding orphaned articles, and checking permission gaps.

The health check flags orphaned articles not linked to a section (GUIDE-001) and stale articles not updated in 12+ months (GUIDE-002).
Related Objects¶
- Sections -- the sections that contain articles
- Categories -- the top-level help centre categories
- User Segments -- access controls on articles
- Permission Groups -- agent permissions for Guide content
